Learning Communities 

  • Allows teachers to collaborate new ideas to one another.
  • Colleagues learn how to learn together.
  • Work as a team towards common goals. 


Benefits of Learning Communities

  • Decreased teacher isolation
  • Increased commitment
  • Sharing of responsibility 
  • More powerful learning
  • Higher chance of fundamental, systemic change


Learning Communities affects on teachers

  • Learn how to work as a team with other teachers and share ideas.
  • Make time for new and creative ideas of collaborating with colleagues.
  • Learn to give other teachers constructive criticism. 
  • Be willing to accept suggestions made by colleagues.


Learning Communities affects on students

  • Learn how to work as a team with classmates.
  • Be willing to make changes and take suggestions.
  • Better sense of community.
  • Communicate ideas with one another/work towards common goal.
How this could help with out projects
  • Teaches how to work successfully as a team.
  • Teaches us how to share ideas and collaborate with one another.

    You did a great layout of this post. You made it very clear to a future teacher the benefits and the affects of a learning community. I feel that it is very important that all those future teachers understand the importance of the working of a community to create a successful learning environment.
